Repainting
In short
An indicator repaints when what it showed on past candles changes later. On the chart history it then looks better than it would have looked in real time.
Why it matters
A repainting indicator makes backtests on the chart history worthless: signals that you see there may never have appeared like that while the candle was running.
How to check
Use Bar Replay on TradingView and step through the chart candle by candle. If drawings appear, move or disappear afterwards on closed candles, the indicator repaints.
Albrecht Edge
All Albrecht Edge indicators are built so that what they have drawn on a closed candle stays as it is.
